Kylie is a Japanese American artist, born in Okinawa, Japan. She has grown to use art as a creative outlet and appreciates how visual art can be a universal language that can be received across cultures and languages. The arts were significant to her growing up, as they helped her adjust to living in a new environment with physical, cultural, and lifestyle differences.

Kylie is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a B.F.A. in Art Education. She is currently an art educator at an elementary school.

Kylie creates work across a variety of mediums, including painting, ceramics, and printmaking. She is motivated by the challenge of exploring new techniques and enjoys building upon her current methods with fresh approaches. Her eagerness to continually expand her skills not only fuels her own artistic growth but also reflects her belief that art is a lifelong learning process. Kylie hopes that her dedication to experimenting, adapting, and learning will make her a more insightful educator and inspire future students to embrace curiosity and develop their own creative knowledge.
